Tennis team wins Mt. Vernon tourney
The Monett boys tennis team took first place overall in the Mt. Vernon Tournament on Saturday. Junior Ethan Kutz took first place in No. 1 singles; senior Jackson Young took first place in No. 2 singes; freshman Elijah Ridenour took second place in No.
Brayden Bachman went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and Zach Megaro went 1 for 2 with two RBIs for the Hawks.
Dylan Blazer pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and striking out seven. Thomas White had three hits. Riley DeCandido and Ben Adams had three RBIs apiece.
